Talking to strangers- John Householder, director of admissions at TCU
I was thinking about interesting people that I know on campus, someone who seems like they've been through a lot, had a lot of different experiences. The only person who I could see as fitting some of these characteristics would be my survey of theatre professor, Dr. TJ Walsh. He's told us some of his resume and it includes; writing plays, directing plays, acting in plays, dealing with movies, broadway, and pretty much anything else you can do to participate in the arts. I would like to have a few more options though, even if he would be a good candidate.
There's this one old man who randomly is the person working at my dorm's front office from time to time. He's got a thick Southern accent. I forget his name, it was a unique one like Clarence or something, but he seems like he would have an interesting story.
My professor for survey of theatre class, Dr. TJ Walsh, is an interesting man. In class, he connects his teaching with some personal stories that he's experienced in the past. His humor is evident, and you can tell he's a very laid back person. He's cancelled classes on multiple occasions and that moves him up to the top in my books. Furthermore, he has had his hand dipped in the performing arts business his whole life. Doc. Walsh said that he's written plays, acted and directed plays, movies, the whole sha-bang. So if I could get ahold of him, I believe he would be an interesting topic.
